Day 1:
Venice, Italy. Benvenuto! Time to relax or to begin exploring car-free, romantic Venice.

Day 2:
Venice. Morning guided sightseeing and orientation with headset. See ST. MARK’S SQUARE and BASILICA, visit DOGES’ PALACE, the BRIDGE OF SIGHS, and watch a GLASSBLOWERS’ DEMONSTRATION. (B)

Day 3:
Venice. Full day to explore. ENTRANCES to Marciana Library and the Correr Museum are included; ask your Local Host for details. (B)

Day 4:
Venice-Florence. Morning transfer to the high-speed EUROSTAR TRAIN (first-class); early-afternoon arrival at your Florence hotel. (B)

Day 5:
Florence. Morning guided sightseeing and orientation with headset: visit the ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS with Michelangelo’s David. See Cathedral Square with Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistry’s “Gate of Paradise;” Piazza della Signoria; Santa Croce Square; and the Ponte Vecchio. (B)

Day 6:
Florence. Full day at leisure. (B)

Day 7:
Florence-Rome. Morning transfer to the high-speed EUROSTAR TRAIN (first-class); early- afternoon arrival at your Rome hotel. (B)

Day 8:
Rome. Morning guided sightseeing and orientation with headset: visit the VATICAN MUSEUMS and SISTINE CHAPEL; ST. PETER’S SQUARE and BASILICA; the COLOSSEUM; and the ROMAN FORUM. (B)

Day 9:
Rome. Full day at leisure. (B)

Day 10:
Rome-Sicily. Travel by air from Rome to Catania, Sicily, then transfer to your hotel in beautiful Giardini Naxos. (B)

Day 11:
Sicily. Morning guided sightseeing and orientation of picturesque Taormina. See Piazza Sant’Antonio, fortress Badia Vecchia, the 13th-century gothic cathedral, Piazza IX Aprile, and visit the breathtaking GREEK-ROMAN THEATER, remarkable for its preservation and panoramic
