Italy Train Tours and Vacations

Nothing compares to the scenic wonders that unfold before you as the train winds its way through changing landscapes.  Exploring Italy independently is a great way to see the sights and highlights you want to see at your own pace and in your own way, but do you want to be completely on your own if you don't speak Italian?  

You'll notice there is a significant price different on some of the packages listed below.  That is because some of the independent trips are very basic.  You get your hotels, breakfast daily and train travel from one city to another.  Great value, but better suited for the more adventurous or experienced traveler, as you still have to make your own way to the train stations and to and from the airport and possibly stand in long lines to see your favorite attractions like the Sistine Chapel or the Colosseum.

Other trips like Monograms and Insight Select vacations offer more, while still having lot of free time.  When you get to your arrival destination, you'll be greeted and transferred to your hotel for your first evening’s Welcome Drink introduction. They'll handle your luggage throughout your stay and even built-in tips to hotel porters, wait staff and room service attendants at every stop!  You have all of your transportation included from what city to another, as well as a guided orientation tour, then you can begin your own personal exploration taking in sights that match your unique interests.

A tour director or host is available to you at any time.  From time to time your tour director will offer special half and full day ‘Experience’ packages to supplement your stay, entirely at your discretion.  So you have plenty of free time, but you are not completely on your own.
