Then travel by first class rail the short distance to Bari, where you’ll be met and driven to your masserie in the beautiful countryside town of Fasano in Puglia. The Torre Coccaro, an historic farm estate dating to the 16th century, is now an intimate luxury hotel, not far from the sea surrounded by vineyards and ancient groves of olive and almond trees. With a history that dates back to 1882, the Grand Vesuvio combines the charm of 19th-century southern Italy with modern facilities. Hotel Torre Coccaro (Puglia, Italy)
Masserias used to be the private houses of noble people in the past, and they were all built in a very typical style with local white stone. The Torre Coccaro dates back to the 16th century, and the recently remodeled resort offers a lake-like swimming pool, a uniquely beautiful farm, and a health club in one of the antique caves.
