SIRACUSA
Situated on Sicily's sparkling Ionian Coast,
Siracusa is an ancient city that once rivaled Athens
as the most important city in the Greek World. We'll
begin our day-long excursion at the Archeological
Park of Napolis, an expansive area sprinkled with
ruins that date back as far as the 5th century BCE.
See with your own eyes the very places where Roman
gladiators competed and Greek tragedies were
preformed, as well as the enchanting grotto where
Dionysus was said to keep his prisoners. Then enjoy
some time at leisure in the heart of the city, the
island of Ortiga. Meander through the narrow streets
canopied with laundry and take in such highlights as
the Duomo, the Temple of Apollo, and the Spring of
Arethusa.

accommodations are limited and are available on a first
come, first served basis, If you have
not purchases air through the tour operator and wish to
purchase transfers, you must transfer at our pre-scheduled
times. Tour operator
air passengers will arrive and depart from the Catania,
Sicily airport and all tour operator transfers will depart
from/return to that airport. The option to
Catania is not available on Sundays. If day 5 falls on a
Sunday, this option will instead be offered on day 8.
