Day 1 Friday USA - Sicily
Independent flight to Palermo Sicily.

Day 2 Saturday - Palermo
You are greeted at Palermo airport and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 3 Sunday - Monreale & Palermo
Today you will discover the styles which come together through the Arabic Norman, Spanish and Islamic domination. Monreale Duomo, Palatine Chapel, Piazza Pretoria, Santa Caterina and San Giuseppe dei Teatini, Via Maqueda and the Cathedral. (BB)

Day 4 Monday - Palermo - Erice - Trapani - Marsala - Palermo
Early departure to tour western Sicily. Ericecity centre reached by cableway. Then to an olive oil and farmhouse to enjoy our lightlunch. In the afternoon, we travel between Trapani and Marsala to the Salt Road, to tour the historic saltpan works. Arrive in Marsala and visit a local winery’s cellar and taste Sicilian wines. Return to Palermo. (BB, L)

Day 5 Tuesday - Palermo - Agrigento - Leonforte
Today’s drive takes us to Agrigento to enjoy the spectacular Valley of the Temples. Later, we depart to Leonforte and we check-in to the magical Villa Gussio. Enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant. (BB D)

Day 6 Wednesday - Leonforte - Enna - Piazza Armerina - Caltagirone - Leonforte
Today, our first stop is at Enna. Continue to Piazza Armerina to see the ruins of a Roman Villa of Casale. In the afternoon, we visit the baroque town of Caltagirone know as “the city of ceramics”. Time for leisure. Return to our hotel for dinner.(BB D)

Day 7 Thursday - Leonforte - Syracuse - Taormina
Today we depart to Syracuse. On arrival, we walk on Ortygia Island, the heart of the city centre. Our guided visit through archaeological area shows the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Paradise Quarry. After, we drive along the coast to Taormina, the world famous resort of Sicily for its views and atmosphere. (BB)

Day 8 Friday - Taormina - Mt Etna Santa Venerina - Taormina
A short drive takes us to the slopes of Mt. Etna, where we experience the lava fields and incredible view of Europe’s highest and most active volcano. Then to a winery and farmhouse located in the lovely village of Santa Venerina where we indulge in a typical light-lunch. Return to Taormina and time to rest before our Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.(BB L D)

Day 9 Saturday - Catania - USA
Arrivederci Sicily as we are transferred to Catania Airport (CTA ). (BB)
